Funny Girls! is a monthly comedy night at venues in Brighton, Worthing & Chichester, UK. Established in June 2010 at the Caroline of Brunswick in Brighton, the night was founded by Hannah Brackenbury with the help of comedy pals Julie Jepson and improv group The Short & Girlie Show. The night quickly became a regular fixture on the Brighton comedy calendar, hosting a varied line-up of comedic performers who identify as female or non-binary.
The events have been organised and hosted by numerous MCs over the years, and are very much a community endeavour, with the sole aim of offering a comfortable space for female or non-binary comedians to perform. Monthly line-ups usually include a mix of abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned pros. Audiences are mixed, with absolutely everyone welcome to join in the fun!
