Funny Girls Comedy Nights

Funny Girls Comedy Nights are regular live events at venues in Worthing, Shoreham & Hove, UK. Established in June 2010 at the Caroline of Brunswick in Brighton, the night was founded by Hannah Brackenbury with the help of comedy pals Julie Jepson and improv group The Short & Girlie Show. The night quickly became a regular monthly fixture on the Brighton comedy calendar and ran until April 2025, hosting varied line-ups of comedic performers who identify as female or non-binary.

In April 2022, a new Funny Girls night was launched at The Libertine in Worthing, where it remains a regular event. Shows also ran at The Havana in Chichester through 2024, hosted by Emma Cohen, and in April 2026 another regular night was launched at The Crown & Anchor in Shoreham, which continues to run today. 

In December 2026, the Funny Girls team will bring a Sunday matinee show to The Brunswick in Hove, which we hope to establish as another regular event.

Our shows celebrate great comedy and offer a platform for women and NB comedians of all abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned pros. While our stage is reserved as a safe and comfortable space for female or non-binary comedians, our audience is open to all!
